On May 21, 2021, the two-days Shandong Provincial Third Hospital ERCP Technical Training•LeoMed Learning Institute-the 12th advanced training course was successfully held in Jinan city.
Prof. Zhang Kai(Chief Expert of ERCP and Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery of Shandong Provincial Third Hospital) had opening speech. Prof. Feng Qiushi and Prof. Bian Dapeng of Peking University First Hospital were invited to give academic lectures and give hands-on guidance. Prof. Xu Liyou, Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Jinan Central Hospital was invited to attend as tutor as well. More than 30 gastroenterologists and hepatobiliary surgeons from cities and county-level hospitals inside and outside the province participated in the training.

This training course is mainly composed of three parts: "Expert Lectures", "Classic Case Sharing" and "Experts Hands-on Teaching". Prof. Bian Dapeng from Peking University First Hospital brought <Opinions on Difficult Intubation of ERCP>, Prof. Zhang Ming from Shandong Provincial Third Hospital shared <Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies for Malignant Strictures under Endoscopy>, Dr. Zhuang Donghai from Shandong Provincial Third Hospital gave a lecture named <A Brief Talk on Endoscopic Treatment of Common Bile Duct Stones>, and other exciting content.

The classic case sharing part is also fantastic. Prof. Fu Yunqiang from the Hepatobiliary Surgery of Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine shared <A Case of ERCP Diagnosis & Treatment and Discussion of Post-Cholecystectomy Syndrome>, and Prof. Yuan Haipeng from the Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Medicine, Tai'an Central Hospital Shared <Case Sharing of Bile Duct Fenestration with ESD knife>, Prof. Bai Tong from Hepatobiliary Surgery Department of Tianjin Third Central Hospital shared <A Case of ERCP Treatment of Bile Duct Stones">, Prof. Jiang Peng from Department of Gastroenterology, Weihai Central Hospital shared <A Case of ERCP Drainage of Gallbladder Cancer and Hilar Bile Duct Infringement> and so on. Participants and lecturers had face-to-face and close communication, exchanges, everyone had benefited a lot.

LeoMed hands-on training courses have always adhered to the focus on practical teaching and ERCP standardized operation concepts, and strive to allow every trainee to learn from the “hands-on” teaching by masters. A total of 9 ERCP cases were perfomed in this training course. Prof. Zhang Kai, Prof. Bian Dapeng, Prof. Zhang Ming, and Prof. Zhuang Wenhai taught the whole process “hands-on”. The trainees communicated with experts one-on-one and fully analyzed each case. Discussed the image data carefully, make the ERCP operate plan, fully guaranteed the maximum benefit of each patient, also let the trainees have a full harvest.
